LOOP AROUND LABRADOR





• Unique expedition of 16 days and 3800 km: 100 to 300 kilometres per day . Snowmobile   is the only link between the eastern coast villages. Toundra, lakes and bays.  

• This expedition requests a perfect health status and a first experience of the snowmobile.   Its fits to autonomous people who want to take the challenge to complete this mystic loop.   This travel has also an ethnographic character: it’s an opportunity to meet people from   Inuit, Innu and white communities in Labrador and Quebec regions. Northern lights   tundra, mountains, lakes, bays, caribous….

• Snowmobiles with 20 inches track (BRP skandic SUV 600 et expédition TUV 600 sdi) 2   sleds for three people.
  
• Guided by two professional guid

March 1st :
• Arrival in Quebec
• Pick up at your airport
• Registration
• Evening and night spent in Aventure Nord Expé Inn

March 2nd :
• We take the road to Baie-Comeau
• Evening and night spent in Camp St Paul home of Luc Dionne the famous guide

March 3rd : 270 km (trail)
• Baie Comeau-Port Cartier

March 4th : 170 km open country
• Port Cartier- Camp Caribou
• Night in an actual timbermen camp (only shelter in the surrounding)

March 5th : 100 Km (open Country Monts Groulx Canyon (can be very difficult)
• Camp Caribou- Camp Love
• Night spent in a little camp close to the little Manic Lake

March 6th : 200 Km (can be very difficult depending the snow condition)
• Camp Love- Fermont

March 7th : 400 km (easy to very difficult depending of snow depth but long…)
• Fermont- Churchill Falls

March 8th : 400 km (easy to very difficult depending of snow depth but long…)
• Churchill falls- Goose Bay

Mars 9th : 220 km (easy to very difficult depending of snow depth)
• Goose Bay- Rigolet

March 10th : 270 km Difficult (baies et lacs)
• Rigolet- Cartwright

March 11th : 250 km (easy to very difficult depending of snow depth)
• Cartwright-Port hope simpson

March 12th : 220 km (easy to very difficult depending of snow depth)
• Port Hope simpson- Blanc Sablon

March 13th : 270 km (easy)
• Blanc Sablon-Harrington Harbour
• Beginning of the « route blanche » 600 km long trail wich link the communities of the   Quebec North shore during winter

• In case of emergency nights in Artic tent are possible
• In case of a potential extraction, initiated by satellite link, an insurance is necessary.
• Due to the potential bad weather conditions (blizzard, white out) or failure, 4 spare days   are requested

Luggage :
• Your suitcases and heavy bags will be kept at the starting base. It is suggested that you   pack a light knapsack to be able to bring a change of clothes with you as well as any   additional necessities.

Formality :
• A valid passport and a driving licence is required.
